School setup and teacher roster
The six-step setup records observer, school, academic context, and roster information. Import and preview a teacher CSV, add teachers manually, or defer the roster. Existing roster changes happen in Teachers.
Keep the focus on classroom evidence and coaching. Understand what LiteracyLens saves, what remains temporary, and what happens when you export.
Assessment reference, saved observation, and shared report each have a different role.
Optional K–3 assessment CSV processing helps suggest an instructional focus. Imported rows and temporary analysis are not retained.
Save the confirmed focus, classroom evidence, ratings, coaching notes, and follow-up with the completed walkthrough.
Generate a summary or selected reports, review the content, and share through your school’s approved process.

Standard walkthroughs cover K–5; assessment-guided suggestions cover K–3. Save the confirmed focus, selected look-fors, ratings, observation evidence, coaching notes, and follow-up.
Dashboard, Trends, Gap Analysis, and School PD Plan use recorded information to support review and planning. The PD Plan includes ranked needs, program suggestions, and cohorts, without program prices or budget totals.
Open the guide without leaving an in-progress observation. Review preparation, all nine domains, rating anchors, and coaching follow-up. Checklist marks are temporary; Print / Save as PDF produces a reference copy.
In the browser demo, saved records belong to that browser’s local storage. There is no production authentication, cloud sync, SIS connection, or school-wide account service. Another browser or device does not automatically receive those records.
The imported assessment data does not live in the application.
For K–3, use a CSV or CSV-formatted UTF-8 text file up to 5 MB and 20,000 rows. Identifiers may be read temporarily to count unique students. The file, student rows, raw scores, counts, percentages, and intermediate analysis are not retained.
Review the suggested focus, confirm or change it, or enter a focus manually. Only the confirmed instructional focus and observation evidence become part of saved work. The flow does not create an assessment repository or combine screener results with walkthrough scores.
Export observations, teacher profiles, gap analysis, trends, or School PD Plan individually. Choose multiple sections for one consolidated CSV. This is a report bundle that requires splitting and field mapping before import into another system.
Create a Word-compatible .doc summary or a printable conference copy. In the web demo, PDF uses Print / Save as PDF. The summary can include the confirmed focus, evidence, coaching, and follow-up.
Teacher-name substitution changes displayed names; it does not scrub free-text notes or guarantee de-identification. Review school names, dates, grades, evidence, and coaching text before sharing.
Downloads and print-to-PDF files exist outside the app. Where they are stored or synced depends on the folder, browser, operating system, and school settings you use. Handle each copy through approved school processes.
Save a completed walkthrough before reloading or leaving the demo. Unsaved observations are not restored after reload. Revisiting setup does not erase the existing operational roster or reset completed demo uses.
Clearing browser site data resets that browser’s demo. Reports are useful copies for review, but the current demo does not provide a full workspace backup-and-restore import. Decide what records your school needs to retain.
The packaged working demo can run locally with its included assets. Opening a hosted demo initially requires access to its website; offline reopening of a hosted page is not guaranteed. External research links require internet access.
Use school-approved device access and management procedures. The demo has no cloud account for remote access revocation or app-specific remote deletion. For a lost device, use your school’s IT process.
No separate LiteracyLens cloud sign-in is required in the documented setup. The browser demo uses simulated activation, not a production licensing service. Confirm licensing and deployment for the native release with Sorvia.
The assessment file is processed temporarily to help suggest a K–3 instructional focus. Imported student rows, raw scores, and temporary results are not retained. The confirmed focus and observation are saved. Keep identifiers and assessment scores out of notes.
The current browser demo has no cloud sync. Records in one browser or device do not automatically appear elsewhere. Exports support reviewed sharing, not automatic workspace synchronization.
No. Reports contain selected summaries and evidence; the current demo does not offer a full workspace restore from those reports. Clearing site data removes the locally saved demo records.
No. Name substitution leaves other fields and free text unchanged. Review the full report and its context before sharing.
